For FSBO’s

If you are a For Sale By Owner, you’ve probably had your telephone ringing off the hook with agents wanting to list it.

That’s just not my style.  In fact, I know that there are certain instances when people should try to sell it themselves.

If you are a FSBO, I’d like to let you know that I’d be more than happy to give you some tips that might prove beneficial, any one of which could save you time, money, and headaches.

My approach to real estate is a little different then the agents that continually call and bug FSBO’s.  It’s called “soft-sell,” maybe you’ve heard of it before.  Seems like a lot of people prefer working with an agent who puts service before sales.

Most owners who later list with me mention that they like that approach.

I hope you do too.

For example, I believe in working WITH For Sale By Owners, not “hounding” them.  I also think people have a right to “think it over,” without being put on a leash for a decision. I also believe people have a right to a little privacy in the evenings, when they’re at home with the family.  This is why you’ll never hear my voice on the other end of a telephone call after dark unless I have been requested to do so.

Now, (you ask), why would a real estate agent actually help me sell my own house?  Fair question.  And here’s the answer:  I know that while a lot of folks can use the information I provide to better market their home, some, maybe even you, will end up putting their home on the market. Should you make that decision, I feel that, because I helped you in the past, you might let me help you in the future.  How’s that for fair? Also, more often then not, those who sell their home plan to reinvest and buy again which would call for an agent to help in the purchase.
